Project overview
Powerco is New Zealand's largest electricity distributor by network length and the second-largest by number of connections, serving homes and businesses across the country. With more than 350 staff across branches in New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Wellington and Tauranga, Powerco plays a vital role in keeping communities connected.
McKinlay Surveyors has been engaged to provide surveying support across a range of Powerco projects throughout Taranaki. Most recently, this has included pre-design topographical surveying and land acquisition surveying for a new substation at Mokoia in South Taranaki, work that will help lay the groundwork for improved electricity infrastructure in the region.
Project results
Our topographical and land acquisition surveys for the Mokoia substation have provided Powerco with the accurate, detailed data needed to move confidently into the design phase of the project. Our ability to mobilise quickly and deliver reliable survey data across multiple project types has made us a trusted partner for Powerco’s infrastructure programme across Taranaki.
